Jan ’22 Club Sursee: Stamp-a-Doodle

Hello, there! I am back today to share another card I created with this month’s Catherine Pooler Designs Club Sursee stamps & dies. If you missed the first one, you can see that HERE. Let me show you how I created this fun little shaker…

To start, I inked up the Stamp-a-Doodle background stamp with embossing ink and stamped it twice side-by-side on a white card panel & heat embossed it in white.

I then used a blending brush to pick up ink and brush over the embossed area to create an ombre background. The inks I used from left to right are Sixteen Candles, Oh Boy, and Minted.

I chose a sentiment from the Love-a-Phants stamp set & masked off the word “Love!” before stamping it in black. I then masked off the rest of the words and used foam daubers to ink up the word “LOVE!” to create a matching ombre effect.

I die cut the sentiment using a rectangle die from the Scallops & Dots die set.

I trimmed down the panel, so I would have a white border around my card, and slid it into a clear pocket to create a shaker card. This pocket was created using old stamp & die packaging I would have otherwise thrown in the garbage.

Before sealing the pocket I added Paris sequins and a few inked hearts cut from the Hearts-n-Tags die set.

Finally, I added the shaker element to the card base using foam adhesive.

Since I had several die cut daisies on my desk left over from playing with the new Doodle Flower dies, I decided to make a few shaker tags.

I die cut the shaker elements with the Skyscape Mini Cover Plate die and used left over bits of Under the Eifel Tower patterned paper. I stamped the background image and sentiment using the Stamp-a-Doodle stamp set, and once again used the Paris sequins mix for the filler.

These tags came together so quickly, I think I might make a couple dozen more to use for this year’s Valentine goodies. I really hope you enjoyed these as much as I have. I cant wait to share with you what’s in store for next month’s Club Sursee. You aren’t going to believe how cute it is!

Thank you for spending time with me today. If you’d like to see more projects, please take a look around and consider subscribing to my blog to get updates automatically.
