Cardmaking, Thank You, Thinking of You, Watercolor

Planted: Just For You

Welcome! I have another card today using the new “Planted” stamps & dies from this month’s Catherine Pooler Designs Club Sursee. If you’d like to start with the first card, you can do that HERE. Otherwise, let’s get started with this one…

Step 1: Foundation

I started with a premade white notecard that measured 3.5″x5″. I then trimmed a piece of dotted pink paper from the “Wallpaper” patterned paper pack to 3.25″x4.75″. An ink blending tool was used with “Catching Rays” ink to create a background on watercolor paper which was trimmed down to 2.75″x4.25″.

Step 2: Inking

The sentiment was stamped, and a bit of pearly pigment and blue paint were splattered onto the background.

Step 3: Put it all Together

The patterned paper was secured to the card base. A bit of twine was tied around the watercolor panel then adhered with foam tape to the card front. The die cut plant was also secured with foam tape and sequins were added. Finally, a bit of highlight was added to the plant with a white gel pen.

Thank you for hanging out with me today. I hope you will visit again soon or subscribe to my blog to get updates automatically.

You can also check out more of my projects in my Gallery, on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and now YouTube as well. Until next time… stay crafty!

  1. So beautiful! I love it! You see, that’s what I struggle with: incorporating patterned paper into my card design. I love polka dots and in purple….forget it! The perfect combo!

    1. I also have the Tim Holtz stamp platform. I forgot to mention that the last time. MISTI is too pricey. I’m cheap. I got mine at Tuesday Morning for $11. 😂😂😂
