Cute Boots Shaker Cards

Hello, crafty friend! I am delighted to share a cute set of shaker cards with you today featuring the “Cute Boots” stamp set from Spellbinders. It’s really perfect for the rainy weather we’ve been having here lately.

I started with white paper and used distress inks and shimmer spray & drops to make the wet & stormy background.

The little cuties were given a sunny disposition with bright alcohol marker coloring. There isn’t a die for this set, so I used a pair of detail scissors to trim them out. I also added a bit of white detailing with a gel pen.

A hefty amount of blue and clear iridescent sequins in a variety of sizes was added into the domed shaker area.

I forgot to take a picture of the inside sentiment. I stamped it in black. It says, “when life gives you rainy days wear cute boots and jump in puddles”. How fun is that?! I also stamped a few of the secondary elements like the rainfall and umbrellas around the border with bright complementary ink colors.

Well, that does it for me again. I would love to know about your experience with making shaker cards. If youโ€™d like to check out more of my crafty creations, you can view my Project Gallery join me on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and YouTube.

Until next timeโ€ฆ stay crafty! โ€“ Laura Evangeline
