Cardmaking, Congrats, Ink Blending, Thinking of You

Oh Happy Day

Hey! Hey! I’m here to share the last of the projects I created with the new Catherine Pooler Designs stamps & dies. To start at the beginning of this tutorial collection, start HERE. Otherwise, let’s get started…

Step 1: Gather Scraps

I started this card with left overs cut from the Scallops & Dots die set, three blooms, and several sentiment strips. A side folding card base was trimmed to be just slightly larger than the scalloped frame.

Step 2: Ink Blending

I used yellow ink and a foam blending tool to create a yellow to white ombre effect across the card base just as I did with the tag set earlier.

Step 3: Putting it Together

Next, I added foam behind the frame and rectangle. Two of the blooms were then adhered on top without dimension, while the third one was added in the middle with strips of foam.

Step 4: Create a Sentiment Banner

To give the sentiment strip a 3D banner effect, I snipped bits into fish tails and added them behind the sentiment strip with foam adhesive before securing the piece to the front of the card.

Step 5: Splatter

Finally, splatter was added with white pigment and clear sparkling inks ensuring none got onto the stamped sentiment as not to risk any bleeding.

And now you can see the whole collection all together. Which one is your favorite?
