Welcome!
Hello! Hello! I have something extra special to share today. I am honored to be joining Pinkfresh Studio for a blog hop & giveaway in celebration of their newest release.
What’s a blog hop?
If you’re not familiar with a blog hop, let me explain… Pinkfresh Studio has challenged several of our crafty friends to create projects with the new release. Each one of us has made something special, and we’ve all posted it at the same time. We will each link to the next blogger, so you can hop along in a circle to see each one like a virtual parade! It’s so very fun. There are also giveaways! I’ll share more details here in a bit, but for now let’s get on with the project tutorial…

Step 1: Embossing

I started by heat embossing the Inky Floral Background stamp onto a few different papers since I wasn’t sure yet which direction I was going. I ended up choosing a teal patterned paper from the Happy Heart 6×6 paper pad and a sheet of watercolor paper both embossed with rose gold powder.
Step 2: Base Layers

Once I settled on the background, I trimmed it to 4″x5.25″ and added it to a top folding A2 card base. I also used white card stock to die cut a Gazebo and four frames using the Stitched Scallop Rectangles die set.
Step 3: Stencil

Next, I used the Inky Floral Background Stencils to ink blend over the embossed background on watercolor paper. The colors I chose were Ballet Slipper, Bubble Gum, Coral Reef, Passion Fruit, Apricot, and Lavender.
Step 4: Floral Arranging
To give the gazebo a bit more oomph, I heat embossed it with three layers of brass powder and created a vellum shadow layer using the outline of the metal die as a template. I also fussy cut several of the blooms to build a bouquet.
I then secured the top half of the gazebo to the vellum shadow layer so I could arrange and tuck blooms in and around it. A couple spots of liquid glue were used to attach them allowing a bit of dry down time to fiddle with the final placement and to allow the petal ends to curl up.
Once I was happy with the arrangement, I added foam tape behind the piece in areas where it wouldn’t show through the vellum and secured it to the card front.
Step 5: Finishing Touches

To finish off the card, I added white pigment and shimmer splatter, Sparkling Champagne pearls, and a sentiment from the Rainbow Sentiments Ephemera pack.

And there you have the finished card! I really hope you like it.
